During our coolhunting at hall 6.2 we spotted these ceramics in stand C85 which looked intriguing.
Tiles is a collection from Ceramiche Fabbro designed by Gianluca Fabbro. This business has been in their family for four generations and is settled in Italy. They’re known for their ceramics. Back in the day they used to hand paint their collections. Nowadays they changed the technique to the modern day. But they didn’t want to lose the hand work so the ceramics are now stamped with stamps from the designs that are hand painted by Gianluca Fabbro.
The collection has a traditional but yet modern feel to it. There are all kinds of patterns to choose from. The series have a cultural feel to it which relates to their home country, Italy.
This fits to the trend Rewind because of the combination of old and new. The designs give recognition to the old masters in a modern way. They embrace the past through enhancing the classic aspects and make it go with the current zeitgeist.
